How to Install Chrome Extensions in Microsoft Edge

Method 1: Getting Extensions Straight From the Chrome Store
You may install extensions straight from the Chrome Store after installing Microsoft Edge on your computer. This is because Edge is a Chromium browser, just like Google Chrome. Follow the steps below.
Step 1:Open Edge > click on thethree-dot buttonat the top right corner > selectExtensions.
Step 2:Click onManage Extensions.
Step 3:ClickChrome Web Storeat the bottom of the page.
Step 4:Search for your preferred extension > click on it > clickGet extension.
Step 5:Click theAllowbutton, and the extension should be installed on your Edge browser.
You may follow a few steps if you havedifficulty opening Edge.
Method 2: Importing Extensions From Chrome Browser
Alternatively, you may also import extensions you already have on a Chrome browser. Follow the steps below.
Step 1:Open Edge > click on thethree-dotbutton at the top right > selectExtensions.
Step 2:Click onManage Extensions.
Step 3:On the left pane, toggle onDeveloper Mode.
Step 4:To locate the directory where your extensions are installed, open anew tabin Chrome > enter thepathbelow > hitEnter.
Step 5:Copy the path underProfile Path.
Step 6:Return to Edge and click onLoad unpackedin the Extension settings.
Step 7:Type theProfile Pathin the address bar, hitEnter, and double-click theExtensionfolder.
Step 8:Double-click theextensionyou want > click thefirst folderit contains > clickSelect Folder.
That’s all. However, since the folder does not have names, identifying your extension is confusing. Follow the steps below to find folder IDs that belong to different extensions.
Step 1:LaunchChrome.
Step 2:Paste theURL belowinto your address bar > hitEnter> toggle onDeveloper modeswitch.
Now, you may see the ID of each extension written under it, and you can use this to locate the extension you want to import into Edge.
