What Happens When You Log Out of Amazon

When you log out of the Amazon app on your smartphone or the web browser, it will no longer be linked to your account. This means your saved addresses, purchase history, payment methods, andwish listscannot be accessed. You will also not receive any notifications regarding your orders from the Amazon app on your device.

Further, signing out of the Amazon app also removes all thecookies and temporary dataassociated with the current session. Additionally, logging out of the Amazon shopping app will log you out from the Amazon Prime Video, Kindle, and Amazon Music apps. So, proceed with caution.

How to Log Out of Amazon Account

You can log out of your Amazon account on PC and mobile app. Let’s show you the process step-by-step for both.

On Desktop

Step 1:Open the Amazon website on your web browser.

Step 2:Click on the ‘Account & Lists’ button in the top right corner of the toolbar.

Step 3:Click on Sign Out.

This will log you out from the Amazon account.

Log Out of Amazon App (iPhone and Android)

While it is pretty easy to log out of your Amazon account on a web browser, it is tricky to do the same on the mobile app. Intuitively, we searched for the Log Out option in the account section of the app.

However, we later found the sign-out button tucked under the Settings option, hidden on the Menu page. Here’s how you can find it.

Step 1:Open the Amazon app on your smartphone.

Step 2:Tap on the three horizontal lines icon in the bottom toolbar. Scroll down and select Settings.

Step 3:Tap on Sign Out.

Step 4:Tap on Sign Out again to confirm.

This will log you out from the Amazon account on your smartphone.

How to Sign Out of Amazon From All Devices at Once

If you have signed in to the Amazon shopping app on multiple devices, you can remotely sign out from the Amazon app from all of these devices by registering the Amazon app. Here’s how:

On Amazon Web

Step 1:Open the Amazon website and sign in with your account.

Step 2:Click on the ‘Account & Lists’ button in the top right corner.

Step 3:Select ‘Manage Your Content and Devices’.

Step 4:Select the Devices tab.

Step 5:Select Amazon to view all the devices using your account on the Amazon shopping app.

Step 6:Find the device you want to sign out of Amazon from and click on Deregister.

Step 7:Click on Deregister to confirm.

On Amazon Mobile App

Step 1:Open the Amazon app on your mobile device.

Step 2:Tap on the account menu from the bottom toolbar.

Step 3:Select ‘Content & Devices’.

Step 4:Tap on Devices.

Step 5:Select the Amazon app to view all the devices using your Amazon account.

Step 6:Find the device you want to remove and tap on Deregister.

Step 7:Tap on Deregister to confirm.
