How to Mute Whole WhatsApp Notifications on Android and iOS

Turn off All WhatsApp Notifications on Android
Step 1:OpenSettingson your phone > go toApps & notifications/Installed apps/Apps.
Step 2:Under All Apps, tap onWhatsApp.
Step 3:Tap onNotifications.
Step 4: Turn off the toggle forShow notifications. On some phones, you must uncheck the box forAllow notifications.
On Android phones running Android 7.1 Nougat and higher, tap and hold theWhatsApp iconon the home screen or in theapp drawer> selectApp infofrom the menu. You will be directly taken to WhatsApp app settings > tap on Notifications > follow step 3 as shown above.
Turn off All WhatsApp Notifications on the iPhone
Step 1:OpenSettingson your iPhone. Scroll down and tap onWhatsApp.
Step 2: Tap onNotifications> turn off the toggle forAllow Notifications.
Alternatively, go to Settings > Notifications > WhatsApp. Disable Allow Notifications.
Mute All WhatsApp Messages From Individual Chats
On Android
Step 1: LaunchWhatsApp> tap on thethree-dot iconat the top-right corner > selectSettings.
Step 2:Tap onNotifications>Notification toneunder Messages.
Step 3:SelectNonein the sound picker.
Step 4:Go back and turn off the vibration underVibratein Messages.
On iPhone
Step 1:On iPhone, openWhatsApp> tap onSettings.
Step 2:Tap onNotifications> turn off the toggle forShow Notificationsunder Message Notifications.
Step 3: In the bottom sheet, toggle offShow notificationsunder Turn on message notifications.
