How to Set Different Notification Sounds for Different Apps
You can change app sounds through the phone’s Settings app. You can choose from several preset tunes or customize notification sounds for each category. Here’s how.
Step 1:Swipe up from the One UI home screen to open the app drawer menu.
Step 2:OpenSettings> scroll toApps.
Step 3:Select anyapp. Let’s take Facebook as an example.
Step 4:Tap on theapp. From the subsequent menu, click onNotifications.
Step 6:SelectNotification categories.
Step 7:Selectnotification typefrom the following menu.
Step 8:TapSoundand select thesound pickermenu.
Step 9:Select apreset soundfrom the list.
Repeat these steps for all the app notification categories to customize your experience further. You can also choose a different app, like WhatsApp, and follow the steps outlined above to change the app’s message chime or WhatsApp caller tone.
Set Custom Ringtone for Different Contacts on Samsung
After you have set custom notification sounds for different apps on Samsung, it’s time to do the same for call ringtones, too. For instance, you can easily set a different ringtone for your parents or spouse. Here’s how.
Step 1:Open theContacts appon your Samsung phone.
Step 2:Select acontactand tap theEdit iconat the bottom.
Step 3:TapView more> selectRingtone.
Step 4:Pick adifferent ringtonefor the contact.
You can set a custom call vibration for the selected contact, too.
