How to Take Screenshots of One Monitor on Windows 11 With a Multi-Monitor Setup

Method 1: PikPick

Some screenshot tools allow you to configure their settings so that they will only capture screenshots of one monitor. PikPick is one such tool you can install and use.

Step 1:Download PikPickand open it. Then, go toFile>Options.

Step 2:Uncheck theCapture multiple monitorsoption.

Step 3:Move the screenshot tool to the monitor on which you want to take the screenshot.

Step 4:Click onFile>Fullscreen, and it will instantly take a screenshot of the current monitor.

Method 2: Snipping Tool

TheSnipping Toolreplaces the Snip and Sketch tool. While there is no direct option to select a monitor, you can use theSelectionmethod to take screenshots of any monitor manually.

Step 1:PressWindows + Shift + Sto open the snipping tool.

Step 2:Select theRectangleoption from the list next to the video camera icon.

Step 3:Left-click andselect the areacovering the monitor on which you want to take a screenshot.

Step 4:Release the left-click, and the Snipping tool will reveal the screenshot in the built-in editor. You can then edit it further in the Paint app.
