How to Access the Quick Settings Panel

You can access the Quick Settings panel by swiping down from the top of the screen. You’ll find a few buttons above thenotification tray. Swipe down once more to see the rest of the toggles. Alternatively, you can swipe down from the top using two fingers to access all the Quick Settings buttons at once.

Tapping these buttons allows you to enable or disable certain features on your phone. For example, tapping the Wi-Fi button will turn it on or off. You can also tap and hold the Wi-Fi button to go directly to theWi-Fi settings on your phone.

How to Customize Quick Settings Panel Layout

To customize the Quick Settings panel layout, you can add, remove, and rearrange buttons to easily access your favorite settings.

Add, Remove, and Reorder Quick Settings Buttons

Step 1:Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to access the Quick Settings panel.

Step 2:Tap thethree-dot menuicon in the top-right corner and select theEdit buttonsoption.

Step 3:Under Available buttons, you’ll find a few toggles that you can add to the Quick Settings panel. Hold down a button and drag it to the panel to add it. You can add as many as you want.

Step 4:Similarly, you can also remove a button from the Quick Settings panel. After you’re done adding the important buttons and removing the unwanted ones, you can re-order those buttons so that your frequently-used toggles are always within your reach. The first six buttons are also accessible via the notification tray.

Step 5:TapDonein the bottom right corner of the screen after making all the changes.

Show or Hide Brightness Slider, Device Control, and Media Output Buttons

In addition to the buttons mentioned above, the Quick Settings panel also includes a brightness slider, Device control, and Media output buttons. You can specify when these options should appear in the Quick Settings panel. Read on to learn how.

Step 1:Access the Quick Settings panel. Tap thethree-dot menuicon in the upper right corner and selectQuick panel layout.

Step 2:TapBrightness controlto select whether the slider should always appear or only when Quick Panel is expanded. Similarly, you can specify when theDevice control and Media outputs buttonsshould appear or hide them entirely.

Step 3:Lastly, tap onDoneto save changes.

How to Reset Quick Settings Panel

If you’ve made too many changes to the Quick Settings panel and want to start over, you can easily reset the Quick Settings panel to its default arrangement. Read on to learn how.

Step 1:Access the Quick Settings panel. Tap thethree-dot menuicon in the upper right corner and selectEdit buttons.

Step 2:Tap theResetoption in the bottom left corner and hitResetagain when prompted.
