Top 4 Ways to Fix Facebook Not Loading in Safari

Basic Fixes
Fix 1. Disable Safari Extensions
Outdated or corrupt extensions may lead to Facebook not loading in Safari problem. You can either update them or disable them temporarily while you use Facebook.
iPhone and iPad
Step 1:Open theSettingsapp on your iPhone. Scroll toSafari.
Step 2:SelectExtensions.
Step 3:Open an extension anddisable it.
Mac
Step 1:LaunchSafari. ClickSafarifrom the top-left corner on the menu bar and selectSettings.
Step 2:Here, go to theExtensions tab. Select anextensionfrom the left sidebar.
Step 3:Uncheckthe box to disable or clickUninstallin the right pane to remove the irrelevant extensions.
Fix 2. Clear Safari Data
When Safari’s cached data is corrupt or outdated, it may fail to load some sites quickly. You can clear the corrupt Safari data and try loading Facebook again.
iPhone and iPad
Step 1:Open theSettings appand scroll down toSafari.
Step 2:Select ‘Clear History and Website Data’and confirm your decision.
Mac
Step 1:LaunchSafari. ClickSafari→Settingsfrom the menu bar.
Step 2:Choose thePrivacy taband click ‘Manage Website Data’ button.
Step 3:Next, click theRemove Allbutton to remove all the cache and data collected by Safari.
After that, restart Safari. You may notice slow performance initially as Safari is loading every website from scratch.
Fix 3. Disable Limit IP Address Tracking
While put in place to protect your IP address from being tracked, it could also be the reason for Facebook not loading in Safari. At times websites need to access your IP address for network filtering, traffic audits, etc.
And when they can’t get access to the IP address, the website might not load properly. Try disabling the setting to see if Facebook starts working normally.
On iPhone and iPad
Step 1: OpenSettings→Wi-Fi. Tapinext to the Wi-Fi you’re currently using.
Step 2: Scroll down toLimit IP Address Trackingand toggle if off.
Note: To disable the setting for mobile data, go to Settings → Cellular/Mobile Data → Cellular Data Options → toggle off Limit IP Address Tracking.
On Mac
Step 1:Click theApple iconfrom the menu bar. Select System Settingsfrom the context menu.
Step 2: SelectNetworkfrom the sidebar.
Step 3: ClickWi-Fifrom the right panel. ChooseDetailsnext to the Wi-Fi that is currently active.
Step 4: Here, toggle off the switch next to‘Limit IP address tracking‘.
Fix 4. Disable iCloud Private Relay
Private Relayis a privacy add-on for iCloud+ and Apple One subscribers. It shields your location and browsing history from the websites and local ISP. Private Relay reroutes your web traffic from another server to keep your data secure.
In that case, Safari may fail to load Facebook and other websites on iPhone and Mac. You should disable Private Relay using the steps below.
iPhone and iPad
Step 1:Open theSettings appand select youraccount nameat the top. ChooseiCloud.
Step 2:TapPrivate Relayand thenturn off the togglenext toPrivate Relay.
Mac
Step 1:Go toApple Menuand selectSystem Settings.
Step 2:Select yourApple IDname from the left sidebar. Then, selectiCloudfrom the right pane.
Step 3:ClickPrivate Relayanddisable itfrom the following menu.
You may also turn off any active VPN connection on your iPhone and Mac. If nothing else works, you may consider switching to Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge to access your Facebook account.
