How to Uninstall the Google Photos App

On iPhone

Tap and hold theGoogle Photosapp and tap onDelete. Then, tap on theDelete Appicon to uninstall the app.

On Android

Open theSettingsapp, go toApps,and selectPhotosfrom the list. You will either find an option toUninstallorDisablethe app.

If you intend to stop Google Photos from backing up your photos – you can turn off the backup in Settings instead of uninstalling the app.

Turn Off Backup on Google Photos

Open Google Photos, and tap on your profile icon at the top right corner. Tap on Your Google Photos Settings, selectBackup, andTurn it Off.
