Fix 1: Clear App Cache (Android)

Messenger stores temporary files on your phone to operate smoothly and load content faster. However, once this data becomes outdated or corrupted, it can cause some of the app’s features to experience problems. To fix this, tryclearing the Messenger app cacheusing these steps:

Step 1:Long-press on theMessenger app icon> tap theinfo iconfrom the menu.

Step 2:Go toStorage> tapClear cacheat the bottom-right corner.

Fix 2: Try Deleting the Story From the Facebook App

You can also delete a Messenger story using the Facebook app since Messenger stories are also visible there. Here are the steps for the same.

Step 1:Open theFacebookapp on your Android or iPhone and tap onYour story.

Step 2:Tap thethree horizontal dotsat the top and selectDelete photo. Then, hitDeleteto confirm.
