What Is Silent Mode on iPhone?

Silent modemakes all notifications inaudible or quiet, thus making your phone silent. The notification banners will also appear, but the tone won’t be audible.

To enable silent mode on your iPhone, use the silent switch (or configure theAction Buttonto turn on silent mode) on the left side of your iPhone. Alternatively, go toSettings > Sound & Haptics >and reduce the ringer volume.

Typically, your iPhone will vibrate for notifications in silent mode. But you can enable or disable it by going toSettings > Sound & Haptics > Haptics.

What Is Do Not Disturb Mode on iPhone?

Do not disturbmode silences the notifications and ensures the display won’t light up or vibrate. But if you check your notification panel or the lock screen, you will see everything you received in DND.

Note:Alarms will still go through when do not disturb mode is enabled. So, don’t worry about that.

What Is Airplane Mode on the iPhone?

When you turn on Airplane Mode, your cellular network, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connections are automatically disabled.

However, after activating airplane mode, you can manually enable and use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but your cellular network cannot be enabled.
